CariFree was developed to help patients become cavity-free by assessing risks for dental disease, and diagnosing the presence of bacteria. Cavities are caused by a bacteria infection know as "caries". This infection is not only treatable, but preventable. The CariFree products are used for treating and preventing the caries infection.
