A Crown is a permanent tooth-shaped covering "cap" that fits over the entire visible portion of a tooth that lies at and above the gum line. Why is a dental crown needed? A crown is place over a decayed, damaged, cracked or root canal tooth to restore its strength.

Bridge

A Bridge is a permanent tooth-shaped covering that is used to replace one or more missing teeth. Bridges are placed on the natural teeth or implants surrounding the empty space with permanent cement and can not be removed by the patient.
