Sealant
Dental sealants are thin plastic coatings that are applied to the grooves on the chewing surfaces of the back teeth to protect them from tooth decay. Cavities can begin early in life, so sealants are usually placed on children's and teenagers' premolars and molars to protect them. Adults without decay or fillings in their molars and premolars can also benefit from sealants.
